There is just something magical about a Tennessee Autumn wedding. Autumn weddings are some of my favorites, especially in Nashville. I had the incredible opportunity to work with Sarah Claire and Walker for their breathtaking autumn wedding. It was the perfect reflection of the season, filled with a vibrant floral palette that brought their romantic vision to life. Their celebration featured a breathtaking mix of peaches, pinks, and reds to complement the bridesmaids’ dresses, accented with soft hints of blue, lavender, white, and light yellow. From lush bouquets to dreamy ceremony arrangements, every petal played a part in creating a wedding day as warm and joyful as their love story. Hi! It’s me, Maegan, with The Floral Pop, a local Nashville florist and wedding vendor, sharing the story of Sarah Claire and Walker’s love story under the beautiful Tennessee spring sky.

I first connected with the bride, Sarah Claire, on The Knot, and as we began discussing her wedding, we quickly hit it off. It was not long before I realized we had mutual acquaintances. It is truly such a small world! As we continued to chat about her vision, the planning process turned out to be a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Initially, when I had sent her the quote for the florals; unfortunately, the price was a little over her budget, and Sarah Claire had to turn it down. However, about a month later, she reached out again, sharing they now had some room in their budget for the original floral quote, plus a few additional items. I was so excited to support her dream wedding! She asked if I was still available for their date, and while technically I was available, I had already booked a destination wedding in Montana. Despite this, I knew I couldn’t let her down, so I spoke with my incredible team, and they were more than willing to take over the details while I was out of town. It became a true group effort. I prepped all the recipes, bud vases, and materials, and my team took care of processing the flowers, creating the arrangements, and delivering everything on the wedding day, all while I was completely out of cell phone range! It was a beautiful collaborative
experience, and I’m so grateful to have such a talented team to support these moments.
Sarah Claire and Walker’s wedding took place in two stunning locations, each adding their own charm to their special day. Their ceremony was held in a timeless Catholic chapel, providing a beautiful and sacred space for their vows. For the reception, they chose Homestead Manor, a venue I absolutely love! While I wasn’t there on the day of their wedding, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit before, and it’s truly a dream setting. From a florist’s perspective, Homestead Manor is a gem—offering an easy load-in and load-out space (a huge plus!), multiple picturesque ceremony sites, a lovely cocktail lawn and patio, and an elegant reception space that perfectly showcases lush floral designs. It was the perfect backdrop for their vibrant spring wedding!

As a wedding florist, you always expect a few bumps along the way, but this one definitely took the cake and is probably one of my “worst nightmare” experiences so far. I was in Glacier National Park, Montana, with terrible cell reception, when, three days before Sarah Claire and Walker’s wedding, I found out I had a little bit of service next to a lake. I checked my phone, and my wholesaler had been desperately trying to reach me: SHE FORGOT TO ORDER THE FLOWERS! Panic set in immediately. I was so close to losing it, ready to scream, cry, and puke all at once. With only a sliver of service, I frantically tried calling her, but it was clear I was going to have to make do with texts. She apologized a million times, but I was thousands of miles away, unable to do anything. I think I responded something like, “I accept your apology, but I can’t do anything about it. Please fix it if you can. Just find flowers.” In the end, by some miracle, she pulled everything together at the last minute, and the flowers arrived just in time. It was a heart-stopping moment, and let’s just say I was a total grump and ball of anxiety for the rest of the time we were in the park, not exactly enjoying the breathtaking beauty of Glacier as much as I would’ve liked. With everything said and done, I cannot thank my team and my wholesaler more for making sure everything was taken care of even while I was away.
On the day of the wedding, my outstanding team completed the floral setup and did such an incredible job making the floral designs we had dreamed up! After they finished up the setup and were waiting for takedown, they decided to treat themselves to dinner at a little hole-in-the-wall Italian place they stumbled upon near the venue. Of course, they couldn’t resist grabbing coffee from the charming coffee shop,1819, at Homestead Manor as well. Now, this Italian spot has come up multiple times in conversation since the wedding, and apparently, I REALLY missed out! My team absolutely raves about it, and I can't help but laugh at how much they enjoyed it. Who knew a little post-wedding meal would become such a memorable part of the day!
As I said before, my team and I loved working with Sarah Claire and Walker. Sarah Claire’s openness and willingness to collaborate on every aspect of the design made the entire experience so positive and fun! From the color palette to the overall style, she was eager to explore new ideas and additions to her vision. It’s always such a joy to work with clients who trust the process and are excited to bring fresh concepts to life. Whether it was adjusting the floral arrangements or adding little touches here and there, Sarah Claire’s flexibility made the entire process feel seamless and truly enjoyable. It’s clients like her who remind me why I love what I do. I love helping couples create something beautiful, unique and personal for their special day.

Sarah Claire and Walker’s wedding was a true reflection of their love and the beautiful support system they have in their family and friends. The undeniable beauty of their friendships and the community gathered around them was heartwarming. This wedding had one of the largest wedding parties I’ve had the privilege of working with to date, and I absolutely loved how many people came together to celebrate Sarah Claire and Walker. From the bridesmaids and groomsmen to the guests, there was such an overwhelming sense of connection and joy. It was a reminder of how special it is to be surrounded by so many loved ones on such an important day, and that energy made the entire celebration feel even more magical.
I’m so grateful to have been a part of this special day, even from a distance.
